M&A firm acquires another SOURCE: Small Business Times, February 07, 2006 Cornerstone Business Services, Inc. has acquired Hoesly and Company, Inc., a Madison mergers and acquisitions firm from Michael S. Hoesly of Madison, Wisconsin. Hoesly founded his firm in 1985. Since then Hoesly and Company has completed more than 160 transactions in 12 states and five foreign countries. Hoesly will remain with the company and will serve as director of Cornerstone’s Madison division. “Mr. Hoesly is one of the most respected advisors in the state of Wisconsin,” said Scott Bushkie, president of Cornerstone Business Services. “I am honored to be carrying on his firm’s legacy under the Cornerstone brand.” Hoesly said the sale was about finding a good fit for his firm, not retirement. “After running my own M&A firm for more than 20 years, I am pleased to be a part of the Cornerstone team. This company is truly a thought-leader, and their business model reflects that forward thinking,” he said. Cornerstone Business Services assists business owners in the sale of their companies. The firm handles the ownership transfer of ongoing businesses and acts as intermediaries, valuers, and advisors to closely held companies.
