Kaukauna Times Publishing, owners of the Wrightstown Area Spirit, Times-Villager, and Around Town, sold their assets to News Publishing Company Inc. Tuesday.

The newspapers will continue to be printed and published in Kaukauna. The company’s offices will also remain in the same locations. There will not be any changes in the current staff.

“This move insures the long term growth and stability of the Times-Villager, Around Town and Wrightstown Area Spirit.” Glenn Hansen, Publisher, said. “News Publishing Company, Inc. has a long history of publishing community newspapers. I am confident that they will do a great job for our readers and the community.”

News Publishing Company Inc., located in Black Earth, Wisconsin, established in 1977 is a family-owned corporation that operates 15 weekly newspapers and 12 shoppers located in Wisconsin and Iowa. The recent purchase brings the total to 18 weekly newspapers.

“We are very excited with the acquisition of Kaukauna and Wrightstown area papers and shoppers,” Dan Witte, President of News Publishing Company, Inc. “This purchase allows News Publishing to expand into a different part of the state. We will continue to provide the same service we have in the past and look forward to continuing our community relationship in the future. It also allows the existing staff to continue to serve those communities as they have in the past.”

The previous owners of Kaukauna Times Publishing were Glenn Hansen, Bart Landsverk, Diane Verhagen, Lyle Hansen and Mark Hansen.
