Cornerstone Business Services opens division in Detroit

Cornerstone Business Services, Inc. of Green Bay , Wisconsin , is pleased to announce the opening of its new regional Detroit division at 200 East Big Beaver Road in Troy , Michigan . Cornerstone is a full-service mergers and acquisitions firm selling businesses in the lower-middle market with annual revenues of $1 million to $30million.

 “This Detroit area is an excellent base from which to build a Michigan presence,” said Jim Butler , director of the Detroit division. “Business owners in this region are underserved when it comes to executing an ownership transition. Cornerstone has a dynamic business model in place and I’m excited to be the one introducing it to this market.”

The Detroit office will focus primarily on businesses in southern Michigan . The firm is also exploring options to open a second Michigan division in the western region of the state.

Cornerstone was founded in Green Bay in 2001 by Scott Bushkie . Since its opening, it has successfully handled more than $56 million in transactions in Wisconsin and Michigan . The firm closes 76 percent of its engagements compared to the industry average of 20 percent.
