Michael S. Hoesly is the Director of Cornerstone Business Services’ Madison office. He has more than 20 years of business brokerage experience and is a well-respected educator and sought-after speaker in the industry.

Mike grew up around his family automobile and hardware businesses. His professional experience includes transitions of manufacturing, service, retail, and distribution companies. Since 1985 he has sold or purchased more than 160 companies.

In December 2005, Cornerstone Business Services acquired Hoesly and Company. Mike remained to lead Cornerstone’s Madison office. He is past president of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and has held the association’s Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation since 1989. He has served as the IBBA’s director, vice-president of education, and president. He is also a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers.

Mike speaks to brokers, valuators, and other professionals throughout the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. He teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business and has presented to the State Bar of Wisconsin on closely-held business transactions and valuations. He is active in Rotary, the Business and Education Partnership, and several other service and professional organizations.
