Scott Bushkie founded Cornerstone Business Services in 2001, completing more than $6 million in business transactions in his first year. Since then Cornerstone Business Services has grown exponentially, our associates have completed more than $265 million in sales.
Scott employs an innovative strategy, limiting the number of clients each of his business transaction advisors can work with. This, combined with Cornerstone’s unique, extensive sales process, results in a success rate of approximately three times the national average for our industry.
Scott has participated in nearly 100 business transactions, specializing in brokerage of companies starting at $1 million in transaction size. His experience includes companies in the manufacturing, distribution, service, retail, and petroleum sectors.
His diverse business background includes entrepreneurial endeavors, management, finance, and marketing. He has operated small start-ups and worked within international corporations.
Immediately prior to founding Cornerstone Business Services, Scott worked with another
Wisconsin
business brokerage firm. In just two years with that firm, Scott moved from a sales position to vice president and top sales associate.
Before that, Scott held a district management position for an international company. His stores recorded some of the highest productivity and sales volume for the region. Early in his career, he successfully held a sales position for a national company and consistently placed within the top 20 salespeople in the nation. He also started his own business and was ranked 13th out of 850 like-companies throughout the
United States
and
Canada
,
based on sales volume.
Scott graduated from the

- Whitewater with a degree in marketing and an emphasis on sales. He enjoys competitive sports and boating.
Awards & Professional Designations
Scott received the International Business Brokers Association’s (IBBA) prestigious Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation in 2002 and at the time was the youngest person in the country to qualify for it. He is one of only seven real estate brokers in the state of
Wisconsin
to hold this certification.
Soon afterward, Scott received the Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI) designation from the M&A Source, a division of the IBBA. Scott is the only intermediary in
Wisconsin
to carry this distinction and is one of less than 50 brokers designated worldwide. The M&AMI designation is awarded to intermediaries who have proven professional excellence through verified transaction experience, education, certification as a business intermediary (CBI), and peer review. The M&A Source is the world's largest international organization of experienced, dedicated merger and acquisition intermediaries representing the middle market.
In 2003, just four and a half years after entering the
Green Bay
community, Scott was honored by the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce as Small Business Person of the Year. Cornerstone Business Services was also recognized in 2004 with the Families in Good Company Award. In 2005, Scott was recognized on a state level when the Small Business Administration awarded him the 2005 Emerging Small Business Person for the state of WIsconsin. The award recognizes consistent growth, innovation and community contribution.
