Rodney Ott - M&A AdvisorBusiness buyers are a diverse group with a variety of motives for acquiring a business. The Main Street market is dominated by individual buyers, about half of them first time buyers while another third are serial owners.  These buyers are motivated by a desire to be their own boss, increase their income, or grow their net worth.

In the lower middle market (LMM), existing business and private equity firms dominate. Only about a third of LMM buyers will be individuals, and almost all with be high-net worth individuals with years of executive leadership experience.

Understanding the buyer market helps us better position your business in a way that will not only attract the most buyers but the right buyer—finding the right fit for your business goals, and theirs.
